The June police report Garthdee Community Council is now available.

The police update to Garthdee Community Council’s meeting on 9th March covered a range of issues including vandalism, antisocial behaviour, theft, assaults and the ongoing police response to COVID.

A report has been published on policing in Garthdee between 10th December and 5th February. The report, from Inspector Gillian Donald, covers subjects including violence, disorder, antisocial behaviour, theft, road safety and community issues.

I was recently contacted by a resident about noise problems caused by some car drivers gathering and revving their engines in the late evening at Asda Garthdee’s car park.

Over the last two weeks I have spoken with both the manager of the Norwood Hall Hotel and the contractor who organises most of the fireworks displays at the hotel about the concerns some Garthdee residents have about fireworks displays at the hotel.

After being contacted by concerned residents, I have urged the police to take action to tackle the persistent problems of some drivers speeding on both Craigton Road and Gaitside Drive.
